Deer park planned at Ch'rayapatna: Minister

Forest minister C P Yogeeshwar announced that a deer park would be developed at Belasinda Srivana located on the outskirts of the city.

Visiting Belasinda Srivana recently, he said the government planned to develop a deer park in the area as is it located near the national highway. Along with the deers, the park would also have two elephants .

It would be designed to act as a mini zoo. He also said that plans are afoot to plant sandalwood saplings in the region. A separate forest officer would be named to look after the sandalwood saplings.

Speaking about the increasing attacks of leopards, he said two additional cages would be kept in the region.
