ITI question paper leak: Tahsildar visits exam centre

Acting on a tip off on the ITI question paper leak, Tahsildar and other officers visited the Women’s Government Industrial Training Centre on Friday. 

Although there were no indications of the question paper leak at the centre, but the officials were determined to take out an investigation in this regard. A memorandum has also been submitted to the Deputy Commissioner.

Welded subject examination was fixed in the morning and Fitter subject examination was fixed in the afternoon. Twenty minutes after the commencement of the examination, Tahsildar Dr Venkateshmurthy reached the centre.

Deputy Commissioner D S Vishwanath ordered Tahsildar to prepare a report after investigating the place. “The question papers were taken out of the treasury and distributed to the students immediately. But we havent received any information on question paper leak,” Amurgam, principal of the college told officials.

The question was faxed on July 29 from Deepa Xerox in Shiggoan. The exam was scheduled at 1 pm and Tahsildar visited the college at 1.45 pm.

“It is true that the question paper has been leaked. But the investigation pertaining the origin of the leak of the question paper will be carried out and a report will be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner,” the principal said.

Examination Vigilance committee members, Zilla Employment Officer K Srinivas, Assistant Employment officer Ashwath Narayan and others also visited the centre.
