The Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha has vowed to resist the Centre’s disinvestment plan in the public sector aluminium major Nalco.

The regional outfit has already organised rallies and demonstrations at the profit-making PSU’s refinery and bauxite mines at Damanjodi in the Koraput district, the smelter and captive power plant at Angul and its corporate headquarters here, in the last few days.
Similar protest meetings are being planned across the state.
