Chethan, Nishith steer Jolly home

Nishith Raj’s hundred and Chethan’s 11-wicket haul were the highlights in Jolly Cricketers thumping innings and 40-run win over Jupiter Cricketers Association in the DELL-KSCA Group I, Division II league for the MAT Acharya Shield.

Batting first, Jupiter CA made 202 all out in 58.1 overs with Madhusudhan top-scoring with 43. Chethan (4/75) and KV Bharath (3/19) were the main wicket-takers for Jolly Cricketers. In reply, Jolly made 384 all out in 67.2 overs courtesy a fine hundred (111, 148b, 17x#4) by Nishith. He received good support from Nikhlil AS (63), Rohan Shah (47) and KV Bharath (40 n.o.). NS Sachin (4/80) made a few strikes but were too insufficient to make a real impact on the course of the game as Jolly Cricketers amassed 182 runs lead.

Jupiter couldn’t fare any better in their second innings, getting bundled out for 142 with Chethan grabbing seven wickets for 46 runs. Jolly Cricketers earned five points for their innings win.
