The department of management at CMR Institute of Management put up an impressive show during Trividha Lakshya 2012, the just-concluded two-day management fest.

The theme Trividha literally means threefold gateway of purity of mind, strength of the body and magic of words. True to the theme, what one got to see during the fest was the confluence of knowledge, creativity and skills.

There were more than 20 colleges from across the country who participated in the fest.

Among the various events that were held across the two days were vipanan (marketing), vittam (finance), niyukti (human resources), ganah (team event), utkrishtah (best manager) and yakshprashna (business quiz).

There was also a photography competition and the fest ended with a fashion show, in which students were given the freedom to choose their theme and work around it.
The students thought that the events were structured in such a way that it really teased and tested their intelligence and general knowledge.

Stephen, of Kristu Jayanti College, says, “It was interesting the way the questions were framed. We really had to be perfect with the current management trends in the market. It was indeed quite challenging.”

Roopa, a student of Mount Carmel Institute of Management, adds, “It was a great learning experience and we got to meet people from the industry, which in itself is quite an exposure.”

Balaji, director of Mindtree Ltd, was the chief guest for the valedictory function. He gave an insight into the employability, technology upgradation and relevance of social networking for students.

Jagdish Chawla, senior vice president at Reliance Trends, shared his experiences of work and life saying that every situation offered a lot in terms of learning.
The fest also did its bit to promote the ‘go-green’ concept and gave away green momentos to the guests and participants.

The ‘Overall Champions Trophy’ was bagged by Kristu Jayanti College for the second consecutive year.
