Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar today said 248 projects in large and medium industries segment, which were committed in the Global Investors Meet (GIM) in June, have been implemented.

"We have implemented 248 projects in large and medium industries sector committed during the last GIM Meet. These projects invited investment worth of Rs 1,74,000 crore and created 8,13,125 jobs in the state," Shettar said after releasing the 'GIM 2012' progress report here.

In micro, small and medium enterprises sector, as many as 5,104 projects were completed, Shettar said. He also said the next Global Investors Meet will be held on June 2-3, 2014.

Large and Medium Scale Industries Minister Murugesh R Nirani said there is a delay in developing necessary infrastructure at the proposed Aerospace Park near Devanahalli due to some problems. "The government had to resurvey the land as some people had claimed compensation producing fake documents," he said.

However, Nirani said 95 per cent of the roads have been developed and remaining work will be completed in three months.
