Dubai jails Saudi man for sex with prostitute

A 32-year-old Saudi tourist has been jailed for one year in Dubai after having sex with a prostitute in a hotel, the Daily Mail reported Tuesday.
The man, sentenced Monday by the Dubai Court of First Instance, claimed he only hired her for a massage. The 34-year-old Usbek woman was jailed for three years after admitting to prostitution.
The Saudi tourist said: "I am not guilty. I did not have sex with her. I tried to be sociable when I consumed liquor". His lawyer said his client invited her to his hotel room after they met at a nightclub.
Sex outside of marriage is illegal in the UAE and people risk prosecution, imprisonment, a fine or deportation if they are found guilty.
