Indo-French fete to kick-off this month

The second edition of the two month — February-March, 15 cities Indo-French cultural exchange extravaganza — Bonjour India — will be officially kicked off by the month-end.

Organised by Embassy of France, Institut Francais en Inde, Alliance Francaise India network and Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), it will have 300 artists performing in 150 events.

French Ambassador to India Francois Richier said the 2013 festival will be different, in that, it will not just be French but more of an Indo-French collaboration. “Bonjour India,” he explained, “will not be one-shot programme but long term goals of future collaborations.”

Programme details

A preview of events lined up in Bangalore, include interactions with author Kenize Mourad on January 25 and 26, a dance performance —  ‘urban ballet’ at Chowdiah Memorial on January 27, and ‘Floating buffet’ at Taj Vivanta in Yeshwanthpur, where participants choose food from floating balloons.

A French film festival has been lined upon February 15, 16 & 17 at PVR Cinemas in Koramangala.
