Praveera scalps eight in VIPS win

Praveera scalped eight wickets as Venkat International Public School defeated Max Muller High School by 116 runs in the KSCA Cup Division III (knockout) under-16 tournament here.

After chipping in with 45 to prop up Venkat International to 278 all out in 46.5 overs, Praveera returned a rich haul of 8/30 to bowl Max Muller out for a paltry 162 in 34.5 overs.

Elsewhere, Kiran Kumar’s fine all-round show (81 & 4/38) helped Swaragarani School score a 55-run win over Gopalan National School. Despite, Bhargava’s unbeaten 105, Gopalan finished with 215/8 in 50 overs.
