Accused Ajay Kumar hails from Sonipat in Haryana. He was arrested from Mukundpur Chowk in north-west Delhi on Friday, said P Karunakaran, deputy commissioner of police (north-west).

Police also recovered from his possession a stolen Hyundai Verna car, a semi-automatic pistol and five cartridges of 7.62 bore. With his arrest, a day-light murder, a carjacking and two other cases of Sonipat were solved.

Ajay allegedly entered the crime world under his influence. Along with his associate, Ajay fired at the house of one Sunil on November 29, 2011, resulting in the death of a man named Satyawan. The two brothers were said to be involved in a feud with Sunil and his associates.
