BMTF serves notice on Siddaiah

 The Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force (BMTF) on Thursday served notices on BBMP Commissioner Siddaiah, Joint Director (Town Planning) S S Toppige and two builder brothers.

The development comes four days after a case was registered against the four. The BBMP officials are accused of sanctioning building plan and giving occupancy certificate to the builders, who have allegedly grabbed a canal and a bullock cart road, which are mentioned in the village map, and a multi-storey residential and commercial building came up there.

The BBMP sources said Toppige and other officials whose names are either included or likely to figure in the FIR are absconding fearing police action.
