More trouble for Raja in telecom scam
New Delhi/Chennai, DHNS:

There was more trouble for Union Telecom Minister A Raja on Sunday who is facing allegations in the massive spectrum scam.

Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation Ashwini Kumar visited Chennai causing quite a flutter. While he himself sought to play down his trip, political circles attached much significance to it coming as it did in the wake of the ongoing CBI raids.

Raja too was in Chennai on Sunday and he iterated that the spectrum allocation was as per norms.

The Union government is said to have suffered losses of between Rs 25,000 crore and Rs 60,000 crore in the scam.

The DMK has officially not reacted to the CBI raids but the party supremo M Karunanidhi is believed to have conveyed his resentment to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The prime minister on Sunday refused to be drawn out on the scam.

Bofors closed Telecom scandal opened - Why do we elect such people, who even after getting involved in such huge scams go scot free. There are so many people to protect them due to political reasons. These people buy votes and people have got used to getting money for votes. Thanks to TN now this technique is being tried in other parts of India too. Should we hang our heads in shame or continue with this and keep on electing these corrupt k . After all whose money is this any ways. It is ours. It is high time we wake up and chuck these low levels out.

Ask PM these simple questions on MEGA TELECOM SCANDAL 2001 rates applied in the year 2007 - WHY First cum First serve basis – What was the hurry No of applicants restricted – WHY Submission/cut off date advanced – WHY Swan Telecom sold 45 per cent stake to the UAE-based Etisalat for Rs 4,100 crore ($900 million). This was Rs 2,450 crore more than what its promoters paid to acquire the licences in February 2008. Mr Raja Telecom Min is misleading Parliament on the issuance of new telecom licences at throw away prices costin the exchequer a whopping Rs 1,00,000 crore loss . Would any sensible minister justify this
