More trouble for Raja in telecom scam
New Delhi/Chennai, DHNS:
There was more trouble for Union Telecom Minister A Raja on Sunday who is facing allegations in the massive spectrum scam.
Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation Ashwini Kumar visited Chennai causing quite a flutter. While he himself sought to play down his trip, political circles attached much significance to it coming as it did in the wake of the ongoing CBI raids.
Raja too was in Chennai on Sunday and he iterated that the spectrum allocation was as per norms.
The Union government is said to have suffered losses of between Rs 25,000 crore and Rs 60,000 crore in the scam.
The DMK has officially not reacted to the CBI raids but the party supremo M Karunanidhi is believed to have conveyed his resentment to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The prime minister on Sunday refused to be drawn out on the scam.
Readers, you remember Just.Ramaswamy from Tamilnadu, of supreme court in 1989-90, whom V P singh govt. tried to impeach in Loksabha for corruption.BUT Congress remained neutral. And great Manishankar iyer voted against impeachment as Ramaswamy was a Tamilian.
Bofors closed Telecom scandal opened - Why do we elect such people, who even after getting involved in such huge scams go scot free. There are so many people to protect them due to political reasons. These people buy votes and people have got used to getting money for votes. Thanks to TN now this technique is being tried in other parts of India too. Should we hang our heads in shame or continue with this and keep on electing these corrupt k . After all whose money is this any ways. It is ours. It is high time we wake up and chuck these low levels out.

Swan Telecom sold 45 per cent stake to the UAE-based Etisalat for Rs 4,100 crore ($900 million). This was Rs 2,450 crore more than what its promoters paid to acquire the licences in February 2008. Mr Raja Telecom Min is misleading Parliament on the issuance of new telecom licences at throw away prices costin the exchequer a whopping Rs 1,00,000 crore loss . Would any sensible minister justify this

Mr Raja need not worry. After all no politician has been jailed for corruption The whole thing will be hushed up. CBI is only a toothless tiger controlled by the politicians. Unless India has an agency like FBI there is no hope to curb corruption.
This Mr. Raja who does not deserve to be Mantri, why even as a Panchayat Board Member, deserves instant dismissal from Ministership and also as an MP. He is a disgrace to the DMK and the Tamils.
These are qualifications to be an Indian Politician who are supposed to take care of themselves and not the public. They are shameless only Voters have to be ashamed of for having selected them. Unfortunately the Tamil Vote Bank without any sane thinking, go for these stooges for petty benefits of one time free gifts like TV etc. and that too from public funds. If India should come up to International Standards without corruption in governance, only Professionally qualified candidates should come to Power.
Look at the headline. 1. Thinakaran the hon. CJ of karnataka facing charges. 2. Raja, A DMK minister at the Center facing charges with loss to the Government. The shameless DMK chief Karuna supporting Raja. It is a shame to all Tamils.
