Documents required for registration

The BBMP application form for khata registration / transfer / bifurcation / amalgamation requires the property purchaser / transferee to attach a number of documents:

Application in prescribed form, certified copies of registered title deed, up-to-date property tax paid receipt, certified possession certificate, flow chart (family tree), improvement charges paid receipt (these are old charges, say BBMP officials), sketch showing location and measurement of property, affidavit for succession / inheritance / gift court decree, original death certificate, affidavit regarding blood relationship, and No Objection Certification (NoC) from BDA for amalgamation / bifurcation.

The form also seeks information on whether the property is under BDA, Karnataka Housing Board, BDA-approved layout, revenue pocket or gramathana.
