95 district judges transferred

The High Court Registry on Thursday issued a notification for the transfer of around 95 district judges to be effective immediately.

Notable among the transfers is that of Rachappa Kuberappa Talikoti, Presiding Officer of the Bhadravathi Fast Track court, to the post of Registrar at Karnataka Lokayukta. The post has been has been occupied by B Yoginath, a retired district judge.

In the last couple of years, the continued appointment of Yoginath to the post of Additional Registrar of Enquiries despite it being vetoed by the Finance Department repeatedly, had raised several eyebrows. Interestingly, Yoginath had also held the post of in charge Registrar since October 2011.

In other transfers, H K Jagadeesh has been transferred as Additional Secretary, Department of Law, Justice and Human Rights and K Pal- akshappa has been appointed  Judicial Member, Karnataka Appellate Tribunal in B’lore.
