Actor James Gandolfini, known playing the central character in popular TV series "The Sopranos", is no more. He was 51.

Gandolfini, who breathed his last Wednesday, is suspected to have died of a heart attack. He was in Italy on a family holiday and was scheduled to attend the Taormina Film Festival, reports thesun.co.uk.

Mourning the actor's death, actor Joseph R. Gannascoli, who played Vito Spatafore in the TV series, said: "He was the most humble and gifted actor and person I have worked with. He was a great man and I will forever be indebted to him."
