The Institute of Finance and International Management (IFIM) recently had its orientation programme.  Students were briefed about the college, its rules and regulations, the dress code and activities taken up by the college that they could associate themselves with.

“IFIM is one of the most prominent and promising business schools today. It is known to not only provide quality education but also help students grow ethically and intellectually. I opted for this college primarily for a good placement but I also believe it will help me with my career in the long run. After doing extensive research about the different options I had, I chose IFIM because it has high potential and excellent faculty, most of whom have first-hand experience in the industry,” says Nikhil Ramachandran, who left
Kannur to pursue PGDM (Postgraduate Diploma in Management) at the
institute.

Sanchita Agarwal, also a fresher at the college, adds, “I am overjoyed at getting admission in IFIM. I believe it will provide me with great opportunities and also help me realisemy true potential. I aspire to be a successful businesswoman someday and I feel that IFIM will help me develop the right knowledge and skills for it. It is known to give a solid foundation to succeed.” Also unveiled on the occasion was the freshly
introduced new-age business management curriculum for the 2013-15 batch of PGDM students, which has been developed in collaboration with experts from the corporate world, academia and alumni.

“In the rapidly changing global economy, every individual and organisation has had to reinvent themselves. In such a scenario, business schools are also faced with questions about their approach to educate future managers. Our new curriculum for the PGDM programme is adapted to suit the changing environment,” says secretary Sanjay Padode.

He further elaborated some of its highlights, including a ‘Personality Enhancement Program’ (PEP), mandatory foundation courses and for students of international business, a mandatory term abroad to provide global exposure and cross-cultural experience.
