KSCA to field four teams; 16 teams in the fray

Karnataka will field four teams in the Safi Darashah Trophy tournament to be held in Bangalore and Mysore from July 17 to August 13.

A total of 16 teams will be in the fray for the tournament, including Saurashtra, Baroda, Bengal among other teams.

Wicketkeeper-batsman CM Gautam will lead KSCA XI which has most of Karnataka Ranji players. Kunal Kapoor has been named KSCA President’s XI skipper while Karun Nair will helm KSCA Secretary’s XI. The KSCA Colts will be led by Abrar Kazi.

The Karnataka squads: KSCA XI: CM Gautam (capt & wk), Robin Uthappa, Rahul KL, Ganesh Satish, Manish Pandey, Amit Verma, Stuart Binny, Goutham K, A Mithun, SL Akshay, HS Sharath, KP Appanna, Abhishek Reddy, Nihal Ullal (wk), Dikshanshu Negi.

Coaches: J Arun Kumar and Mansur Ali Khan; Physio: Shravan; Trainer: Vivek Ramkrishna.
