1-year ban on associate director

Bangalore, Sept 5, 2013, DHNS

The Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce has banned Umesh, an associate director, for a year for sending obscene messages to actor Ragini Dwivedi.

Umesh confessed to sending the messages and apologised to Ragini and the chamber at a meeting chaired by the KFCC president, Vijayakumar, on Wednesday.

The actor had requested the Central Crime Branch (CCB) to trace the number from which the message was sent to her. The CCB traced to Umesh.
