Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is all set to showcase his pet programmes —Anna Bhagya and Ksheera Bhagya — as part of his presentation on food security at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Dalian, China.

This will be his maiden foreign sojourn after becoming chief minister. He will leave Bangalore on the night of September 9 and return on September 15 evening.

The chief minister will be part of a panel discussion on food security. He will explain the features of Anna Bhagya and Ksheera Bhagya schemes and also explore new ideas with other panelists on food security. He may get about 10 minutes in all to put forth his views to the panelists, official sources said.

Other panelists with Siddaramaiah will be industry representatives from Brazil, China, US, among others. He has an appointment with Prof Klaus Schwab, executive chairman, WEF.
A 14-member business delegation, in addition to government officials, will also accompany the chief minister.

Official sources said that Karnataka will be hard-selling agriculture, manufacturing, logistics, automobile, aerospace, pharmaceutical etc., as prime areas for investments, at the world conference.
