The High Court has directed the Bangalore Development Authority to file an affidavit on details about the notification issued, land acquired, possession of land and land denotified, pertaining to Banashakari VI stage, JP Nagar VIII phase and HSR Layout.

Hearing a petition, Justice Ram Mohan Reddy called BDA a ‘boneless fish’ which slips away from the hand. The bench said that BDA was trying to cover up the issues related to land acquisition while forming new layouts.

Justice Reddy asked the BDA counsel to file the affidavit and adjourned the hearing to September 25. It is alleged that BDA had notified 1,450 acres in Banashankari, but took possession of only five acres of land to form layout.
