Youth dies while trying to save bird

Chennai, Sep 12, 2013, DHNS:

An 18-year-old youth fell to death from a tree when he accidentally touched a live wire while trying to save a parrot from crows at Sholinganalur near here.

Arunkumar, a bird lover, saw that a couple of crows were trying to poke a parrot on top of a tree along the highway, while he was travelling in an auto-rickshaw on Wednesday.
According to the police, the victim got of the auto-rickshaw and immediately climbed the tree. Arunkumar, who managed to chase away the crows, unexpectedly touched a live wire near the tree and fell down after electrocution.

He was rushed to hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead.
