The State Congress will strictly follow the one-person, one-post policy. Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President G Parameshwara on Saturday said all ministers, MPs and legislators who are holding the posts of office-bearers at the district and state level would be asked to resign from the party post.

Speaking to reporters after presiding over the office-bearers meeting of the KPCC, Parameshwara said the central leadership has instructed the state units to follow one-person one-post policy.

Membership drives

He said the party has launched its membership drive in all blocks. Getting registered as a Congress member is mandatory for being considered to be nominated for  boards and corporations, Parameshwara said.

He said nominations to boards and corporations would be taken up after consultations with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.

Fifty per cent of the posts would be earmarked for women, the KPCC president
informed.
