Call to construct Vishnu memorial

Congress MLA S T Somashekar on Sunday urged Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to take necessary steps to construct a memorial for late Vishnuvardhan at Abhiman tudio.

Bharati Vishnuvardhan had recently warned the government that she would shift the samadhi located at the studio to Mysore if the government failed to take steps to construct the memorial. She had accused the government of not doing enough to resolve the issue of land required for the memorial’s construction. Somashekar, in a letter, urged the chief minister to hold talks with all stake- holders of the studio.
