Prajwal shines with six wickets

Shanthinagar Cricketers registered a narrow one-wicket win over Indiranagar Cricketers in the KSCA for Group I, Division IV league for the Metro Shield.

Batting first, Indiranagar Cricketers piled on 250 in 45.3 overs largely due to half-centuries from Karthik R and Sampreet R Shetty. Indiranagar may have gone on to post a bigger total had it not been for Shanthinagar’s Prajwal who returned with figures of six for 54.

In reply, Shanthinagar benefitted from a string of cameos to scale the target in the 46th over with one wicket to spare. Bhagwan Singh (3/59) and Vikram (3/72) were the pick of the bowlers for Indiranagar.

Chamarajpet Cricket Club: 226 all out in 50 overs (Praveen Pawar 94; Venkat Raju 2-16, Pratap 2-31, Vedanath 3-41) lt to Sparklers Cricket Club: 231/4 in 38.4 overs (Krishna Patil 101, Prasad 66, Manjunath Reddy 26 n.o.; Sujay 3-47).
Minerva Cricket Club: 222 all out in 48.1 overs (Shekar 33, Vineeth 35, Deexank 35, Nagaraj 33; Ankit 4-25, Basavaraj 2-35, Sarbojeet 2-32) lt to Ranji Cricket Club: 226/7 in 44.4 overs (Ramesha 86, Aravind 32, Sarbojeet 36 n.o.; Janardhan 2-29, Nagaraj 3-41).
