Arrested ultras sent to police custody

 Most-wanted fundamentalist Panna Ismail, who was arrested along with his aide Bilal Malik on Saturday jointly by Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh cops in Puttur, was remanded in judicial custody soon after he was produced before a judge in Vellore.

He was lodged in Vellore prison on Sunday.

The condition of his aide Bilal Malik, who sustained bulled injury during the storming operation to arrest them and was admitted to a general hospital in Chennai, is said to be to be critical.
The two were reportedly involved in the murder of BJP's Tamil Nadu general secretary V Ramesh in Salem and Hindu Munnani state secretary S Vellaiyappan in Vellore in July this year.

Meanwhile, “Police” Fakruddin, who was arrested by the special police team on Friday and subsequently confessed about his aides Ismail and Malik, was remanded in police custody for seven days.
