Ashwini-Mithula triumphant

Ashwini Bhat K and Mithula U K emerged champions in the girls’ under-15 doubles event of the Bowring Institute’s 5-star badminton tournament here on Monday.

In the finals, Ashwini and Mithula defeated Sheethal D and Trisha Hegde 21-15, 21-10.Results: Boys: Under-15: Singles quarterfinals: Saif Ali bt Vikhyath M R 21-12, 21-13; Abhiram K bt Nikhit Laxman 15-21, 21-15, 21-10; Saketh Upadhya bt Sourav Yadav 21-14, 21-11; Nikhilshyam Sriram bt Kevin M L 21-5, 21-16.

Doubles quarterfinals: Kevin M L/ Nikhit Laxman bt Abhiram K/ Vikhyath M R 21-18, 21-9; Amogh R Gupta/ Saketh Upadhya bt Ankur Sinha/ Sourav Yadav 21-16, 21-13; Avinash S/ Sai Pratheek K bt Migil Yogananda/ Srikar Rajesh 21-8, 21-6; Nikhilshyam Sriram/ Saif Ali bt Arjun A/ Prithvi Niranjan 21-9, 21-12.

Under-13: Singles quarterfinals: Chinmaya Venkatesh bt Naren Shankar Iyer 21-13, 21-12; Shashank Reddy V bt Saneeth Dayanand S 21-19 21-11; Pruthvi Roy K bt Suhas 21-18, 21-13; Rohit M bt Srikar Rajesh 21-19, 21-16.

Doubles Semifinals: Chinmaya Venkatesh/ Srikar Rajesh bt Santrupth H / Sujal Shekar 21-12, 21-12; Pruthvi Roy K/ Saket C S bt Rohithkrishna Moravaneni/ Shashank Reddy V 13-21, 23-21, 21-14.

Girls: Under-15: Singles quarterfinals: Archana Pai bt Trisha Hegde 21-5, 21-11; Richa Muktibodh bt Sheethal D 21-16, 21-8; Advika Ganesh bt Dhaarini Ravikumar 21-15, 21-15; Ashwini Bhat K bt Mithula U K 21-17, 21-9.
