Two persons of a family were killed on the spot and two others suffered minor injuries when the car they were travelling in, rammed into a lorry near Hosakambi Cross, on National Highway 63 in Ankola taluk on Thursday midnight.
The deceased have been identified as Venkataramanajalu (32) and his daughter Shraddhamahalakshmi (4), residents of HSR Layout in Bangalore. His wife Vidya and his friend Mysoorareddy are the injured. They were travelling from Bangalore to Goa when the lorry coming from Ankola towards Yellapur rammed into their vehicle. Venkataramanajalu was a software engineer employed in a private company in Bangalore. The lorry driver is absconding. A case has been registered.
