Hospital gets new visitor

ZP vice-president visits every ward after reports appeared in media

The vice president inspected each and every ward including the general ward, labour ward and others and held a discussion with the patients regarding the harrowing time that they have been facing in the hospital.

   Senior physician Dr Raveendra said that even after the government upgraded the hospital, it has not appointed enough staff which the hospital is lacking because of which there has been a lot of problems. The dearth of nurses is one of the major issues.

         Added to that, there is drinking water problem and even lavatory problem, Dr Raveendra explained. Dr Sanjay brought to the notice of  Venkatesh the dearth of staff in the hospital. 

       The vice president made sure that there were adequate medicines including vaccines.  Chenduru Venkatesh later said that the taluk is the most backward taluks for which it is already in the list of backward taluks as mentioned in the Nanjundappa report.  Majority of the people in the region hail from poor financial background and visit the government hospital for treatment. The doctors have to deal with patience and take utmost care of their health, he added.

 He also promised to discuss the problem of staff shortage with the district health officers and asked them to utilise the funds under the central health scheme. He assured them of providing more assistance after discussing with MLA Y Sampangi and the Health Minister.
