The Centre’s plan to beam Prime Minister Narendra Modi live to thousands of schools includes a blunder as part of the grandiose plan relies on a satellite that is no longer in service.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has sent a memorandum to the schools, which includes a set of guidelines.
Besides television, internet and radio, the prime minister’s interaction with children can also be accessed through Edusat, says the guideline.
But Edusat was decommissioned way back in 2010 and sent to a graveyard orbit.
“It is no longer in service,” an official from Indian Space Research Organisation told Deccan Herald.
