Greenwood High International School celebrated Teachers’ Day at its campus in the presence of former captain of the Indian cricket team, Rahul Dravid. The ceremony witnessed an auditorium packed with students and teachers, who gave the star a rousing welcome.

The event was attended by members of the board of trustees — Niru Agarwal and Manas Mehrotra; Aloysius D’Mello, principal and all the members of staff.

In his inspiring message to the staff and students, Rahul Dravid told students about the value of failure, advising them not to fear it; by saying “fear of failure will stop you from taking risks and reduce your opportunities”. He commended very highly the brilliant creative performances by the students of Greenwood High saying that it took courage to perform at such a high level.

Before Rahul Dravid departed he graciously autographed memorabilia for the school and even played two overs against the bowlers of the school cricket team, cheered by the some of the youngest members of the school community.
