The Tel Aviv University on Friday announced the second batch of full scholarships for seven students from across the country, to pursue courses in electrical and electronics engineering. The programme began last year in India.
Of the seven, a student at Narayana PU College in Marathahalli, is among those provided scholarship for BSc Engineering. The university also offers 250 summer scholarships to undergraduate students from India and China. Under the scholarship, students get to spend a month at various research institutes. Last year, about 30 students visited Israel.
Israeli Consul General Menahem Kanafi said that with full scholarship programme, the university was opening up avenues for more Indian student to pursue education in Israel at the undergraduate level. He said the scholarships were went to encourage students to make use of the opportunity.
