Teacher exposes his private parts to 8-yr-old girl student

A teacher who is said to have exposed his private parts to a girl student of class 3 at a well-known school in Yeshwantpur here last month was suspended by the principal who went on to make a complaint to the police. But the girl’s parents are not co-operating in the investigation. 

The incident occurred at Brigade School. When the principal learnt of the incident, he informed the eight-year-old girl’s parents and suspended the teacher. The principal also approached the police on September 12 and made a complaint about the teacher. 

But the police say the parents did not want to pursue the matter and refused to co-operate with the investigating officer. They told the police that they did not want a case to be registered, and even questioned the school authorities why they made a complaint without their permission. 

A senior police officer said, “The incident occurred some day between September 8 and 11 and a complaint was filed the day after. A meeting was held in the school and the teacher in question was suspended. The parents were satisfied with the teacher’s suspension and did not want the police to pursue the matter any further.

They also wrote to the school management, asking them to withdraw the case and saying they want to forget the incident.” 

He added, “We have brought this to the notice of our top brass which will decide the next course of action. For now, a case has been registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.”
