Namo Boothatma

Kannada (A) *

Director: V Murali

Cast: Komal Kumar,Aishwarya Menon, Harish Raj, Gayathri Iyer, Nikita Thukral, Ali

A remake of Tamil flick Yaamirukka Bayamey, Sandalwood’s Namo Boothama is a prime example of a mindless fare that should have been left in the cans.

Trying to tickle the funny bone, as also send shivers down one’s spine, Namo Boothatma does neither, but makes it a migraine-inducing time at the movies.

Tasteless jokes and high- decibel drama turn V Murali’s horror comedy into a horrendous one that makes you to scurry to the exit. Besotted with two women, Nikita and Sowmya, our Karthik comes to inherit a mansion which turns out to be a haunted home where people drop dead by the dozen.

Nothing works in the film. It would be wise to leave this spirit(less) saga to sink in the quagmire of its sickening production.
