Come December and most people look forward to visiting the Christmas bazaars that are held in the City.

These bazaars sell an eclectic mix of products in addition to a range of home-made goodies. The atmosphere is fun and festive and there is something for everybody.
The annual United Charities Bazaar will be held on December 13, from 9.30 am to 5 pm, at Corporation Play Grounds, opposite St Charles School, Lingarajapuram Main Road.

The United Charities Bazaar, popularly referred to as ‘Charity Bazaar’, ‘Christmas Bazaar’ or the ‘Bowring Sale’ is the largest and most colourful festive bazaar of the year where over a hundred charities and non-governmental organisations come together and put up stalls to raise funds for their respective causes.
The bazaar opens to a flurry of sights, sounds and tastes in order to help the underprivileged through a sale that includes everything from handicrafts and Christmas deco, table linen and T-shirts, homemade jams and jellies, pickles and pies, cakes and cookies and much more.
The bazaar allows only charitable organisations, NGOs and self-help groups to participate.
A ‘santhe’ by the Community Service of Bangalore (CSB), a City-based non-profit, charitable organisation, will be held on December 15, from 10.30 am to 7 pm at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath.

CSB supports the underprivileged, the girl child, senior citizens, the mentally challenged, disabled and more. The ‘santhe’ will sell home-baked goodies, in addition to Christmas decorations.
