Appointments to boards likely by Jan

The State government is likely to appoint directors and members to the various boards and corporations by January next year.

The government has already completed the process of appointing chairpersons to 80 boards and corporations in November, reports DHNS from B’luru.

However, there has been tremendous pressure on KPCC president G Parameshwara and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah by those who could not make it to the list to take up appointments to the posts of directors and members.

Sources said Parameshwara and Siddaramaiah were likely to finalise the list this week.

There are around 700 posts of directors and members in various boards and corporations. In the first phase, around 400 appointments are likely to be made. The AICC is also said to have communicated to the state-unit to strictly follow the “one-person one-post” in  the party.
