Union Minister Sadananda Gowda rushed to Church Street in Bengaluru to take the stock of the situation after a minor bomb blast took place on Sunday.

He received briefing from the Police officials and described it as an unfortunate incident, while talking to reporters at the  spot.

"It was an unfortunate incident. The anti-bomb squad is already at the spot and an inquiry has been initiated into the incident," said Sadananda Gowda.

He added that the Centre has assured all sorts of help to the state government to deal with the situation.  He also requested the police to be more alert and prevent such incidents in future.

Meanwhile, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said he spoke to Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah about the bomb blast.

"Spoke to Karnataka CM Shri S Siddaramaiah regarding the Bangalore blasts. He apprised me of the situation. Centre ready to provide all help." Rajnath Singh said in his tweet.
