No problems in alliance, says Fadnavis

On a day the Shiv Sena targeted Devendra Fadnavis for ignoring farmers’ suicide in Vidarbha, the Chief Minister ruled out any threat to the alliance government.

“Everything is well, do not create a sensation,” Fadnavis told reporters here on Friday.

He also refused to take questions on an editorial in “Saamana”, the Shiv Sena mouthpiece, saying that he would not like to comment on what appears in editorials in newspapers.

“The new chief minister (Devendra Fadnavis) being from Vidarbha, ignited hopes that farmers in that region will get a new lease of life. While he was busy laying a red carpet for investors in Davos, farmers here were committing suicide as they had no money to pay to money lenders. Such incidents are heart wrenching,” the “Saamana” editorial said.
