Mallalli falls, a tale of official apathy

Mallalli waterfalls in Somwarpet Taluk offers a breathtaking view to the visitors. However, neither the authorities nor the elected representatives have come forward to provide basic amenities at the tourist spot. the authorities have failed to make a visit to the waterfalls a pleasurable experience to the tourists as the place lacks amenities. 

Plastic waste and liquor bottles are strewn along the path leading to the waterfalls.  Mallalli falls orginates from Kumaradhara river on the foothills of Pushpagiri hills. However, the road leading to the waterfalls is in pathetic condition. After parking the vehicles, the  tourists have to walk for one kilometre to reach the spot.

There are chances of thieves taking away the parked vehicles. There are instances of thieves taking away valuables from the parked car by breaking open the window. 

There are no guidance for the tourists who visit the waterfalls. As a large number of tourists visit, the plastic bottles and food packets are found enroute to the falls.
