Double delight for Sumer

Sumer Singh from Border Security Force (BSF) clinched a grand double on the second day of the Bangalore Horse Show at the ASC Equestrian ground here on Sunday.

In the Senior category of the Open Show Jumping, astride Saloni, Sumer grabbed the first position with 760 points. KD Malik of ASC came second with 380 points. There was more joy for Sumer, as the BSF rider, combined with his team members – Dy Comd SK Raghuvanshi, CI Avtar Singh and ASI Jaswinder Singh -- bagged the top spot in the Tent Pegging Lance team event. BSF scored 62.5 points and finished ahead of ASC (Northern Command), who pocketed the silver with 52.4 points.

Riders from Bengaluru’s Agram Riding and Polo Academy (ARPA) dominated the Junior category of Open Show Jumping. ARPA’s Arihant Yadav (140 points) and Rishab Sanjay Nair (130) emerged first and second respectively.
