Special Education

Applications are invited for Rehabilitation Council of India recognised two year Diploma in Education, Special Education -Mental Retardation, being conducted by Foundation for Action, Motivation and Empowerment- FAME India, one of the premier institutions offering services for children and adults with special needs. Candidates who have completed 10+2 with minimum marks of 50% in the general category and 45% in reserved category are eligible. Course begins in August. Student scholarship for women
The Anita Borg Institute (ABI) has invited applications for the student scholarships (for women students). The scholarships are awarded to deserving undergraduate and graduate women students in computing and IT to attend the annual Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing India (GHCI) 2015 conference, to be held from December 2-4, 2015 in Bangalore. At GHCI, students get a chance to connect with other women in computing and get quality career advice specific to their needs. During GHCI 2014, 130 full and partial scholarships were awarded. Actuarial Sciences
The one year MSc/PG Diploma in Actuarial Sciences offered by the University of Southampton’s Department of Mathematical Sciences will commence from September 2015. It provides intensive, professional-level, specialist education in actuarial science. The programme caters for both students with previous actuarial experience as well as those without any prior experience. To be eligible, applicants should have first or upper second class honours degree in a quantitative subject such as mathematics, statistics and economics and an overall IELTS score of at least 6.5, with at least 6 in each individual components. MA in Defence, Strategic Studies
The University of Allahabad offers an MA in Defence and Strategic Studies. The two-year programme includes specialisations such as military history, international relations, international law, guerilla warfare, national security, defence economics, strategic thought, South Asian studies, science and technology and area studies.
