Modern talking

In its latest collection, French Connection’s men’s attire focusses on modern sportswear. Playful and urban, the smart wardrobe essentials are designed keeping in mind a modern city boy who skates or cycles to work. For the women, the main concept is all about fusing two opposing designs together to create something aesthetically beautiful.

The transitional lines see basics reworked with a tailored long sleeve masculine pin stripe, juxtaposed by the fabricated content of free-flowing silk. With minimal dressing as the key for the season, the silhouettes are effortlessly simple and nominal, creating clean seams for modern construction.

“Summer staples see impressionist art in bold blended brush strokes and bursts of pastel hues of lavender, pink and green. The collection is thoroughly modern and designed to create a multifaceted wardrobe perfect for modern-day men and women,” says the spokesperson of the brand.

The brand’s basic range is updated with an introduction of fresh new colourways and prints that are apt for the season. Basic items such as chinos, polos and tees remain fundamental for the men along with silk bombers, printed shorts and sports jerseys. For women, it is shocking pink, monochrome prints and splodges of bright vibrant coloured attire.

The brand does not offer just fashion-forward clothes but also has well embellished accessories. The women can choose from a wide range of textured leather bags that are studded with chunky embellishments. “Our SS15 bags mean business,” he says. Metallic clutches with light shimmering and light knits with hardware-heavy belt, let the woman speak her style effortlessly.
