Rajshekar Semith always had the desire to satiate his customers  — be it with the taste, quality, hygiene, variety, portion and price of the food he serves. His wish to start his own business after being in the F&B field rolled out when ‘Juice Junction’ opened in the year 1977 in Koramangala.

Starting from a small juice counter with workforce of not more than five people at the juice bar chain, it has now evolved into food courts serving juice, milkshakes, sandwiches, noodles, soup, North Indian, South India, Chinese, ‘chaats’, coffee, tea, and much more.

Supriya, Rajshekar’s daughter and Managing Director of Juice Junction, says, “My dad started this small place by serving only juice. But people would come by during lunch and start asking us if we could have an alternate snack to go with it. We wanted to serve only healthy selections, so we came up with grilled plain sandwiches which went really well with the juices.”

This small dream has led the business to grow with over 30 outlets in the City and even in Mangaluru. Everyone from toddlers to adults enjoy dropping by ‘Juice Junction’ to relish the fresh juices and their sandwiches. They claim to be the first in the City who have introduced ‘Fruit sandwiches’ to the customers. “We love coming up with new inventions and one of them is our ‘Fruit Sandwich’. It contains all your favourite fruits that’s jammed with bread and butter. Kids are very happy with it and the parents are even happier to give their children this fruity treat! We keep experimenting with flavours and love coming up with new sandwiches every couple of months” explains Supriya.

Some of their other signature sandwiches are ‘channa masala’, ‘palak paneer’, ‘choco cheese’, ‘dahi toast’, ‘crunchy veg’, and ‘sweet corn’. One of their other specialities is their ‘pancharangi pani puri’. It’s one plate of ‘pani puri’ served with five flavours of water such as ‘khatta’, ‘meetha’, ‘pudina’, ‘jeera’, and ‘theeka’; all concluded with a ‘sukha puri’. “We’ve had people come from more than 10 km to enjoy this and we are more than happy to share it with them,” Supriya says, excited.

With their motto to serve only the best, they are bustling with customers round-the -clock, and even for generations. Charan Sinha, one of the customer says, “I’ve been coming here for over 10 years now. My dad used to bring me here in the evenings for juice and sandwich once a week, and that soon became a habit. So every time I want to grab a quick juice or fruit bowl, this is my go-to place.” It’s located in 5th Cross, 6th Block, 80 Feet Road, Koramangala. For details, call 41105299.
