Traffic curbs today, morrow

The Traffic police have imposed parking restrictions in certain areas of the City on Monday and Tuesday in the view of the visit of Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel and Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Bengaluru.

Accordingly, parking will be banned on the stretch between Kempegowda International Airport and Mekhri Circle, Ramanamaharshi Road, Mekhri Circle to Cauvery Junction,
T Chowdiah Road, Cauvery Circle to Windsor Manor Circle, KK Road, Windsor Manor Circle to Shivananda Circle, Hare Krishna Road, Shivananda Circle to Trilite Circle and Race Course Road, and from Trilite Circle to Basaweshwara Circle.

On Tuesday, parking restrictions will be imposed on Race Course Road, Palace Road, T Chowdiah Road, Ali Askar Road, Infantry Road, Queen’s Road, Kasturba Road, Mallya Hospital Road, RRMR Road, Langford Road, Hosur Road, Mico Inner Road, Sarjapur Road, Koramangala Inner Ring Road, Old Airport Road, Trinity Church Road, MG Road, Dickenson Road, Cubbon Road, Raj Bhavan Road, LH Road, Victoria Road and Richmond Road. The police have requested the public to use alternative roads.

The senior police officers of the state held a meeting in connection with security arrangements made for the Modi and Merkel's visit to the City on Sunday. Around 12 policemen have been roped in for duty, including senior police officers. Also, 20 Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) platoons along Garuda commandos will be deployed.
