MCC launches new web app for citizens' suggestions

The Mangaluru City Corporation has, on Monday, launched an innovative and mobile-enabled web application to receive suggestions from citizens.

The move is a part of the Corporation’s endeavour to maximise the participation of citizens in providing necessary inputs for the preparation of the smart city proposal.

Addressing a press release, Corporation Commissioner H N Gopalakrishna said that the mobile-enabled application will have a questionnaire with a set of objective questions, for which, the appropriate answer has to be selected or ranked by the citizens.

“The first questionnaire is titled City Survey. Many more questionnaires will be introduced into the app in the coming days to get the views of the citizens on various issues related to the smart city,” he said.

“The citizens may download “http://103.19.89.38/smartcitymangaluru” to their smartphones, computers or tablets to answer the questionnaires,” he added.

The Commissioner has appealed to the citizens to actively participate in the citizen engagement initiative of the Corporation towards making Mangaluru one of the finest smart cities in India.
