Lok Janshakti Party president Ram Vilas Paswan on Wednesday launched a personal attack on his friend-turned-foe Lalu Prasad and questioned him for not being able to get his son Tejaswi Yadav matriculated.

“Jo apne beta ko nahin padha saka, woh Bihar kya chalayega? (How can the man, who can’t persuade his son to complete even his Class X examination, be able to govern Bihar,” Paswan said. He was referring to Tejaswi’s affidavit filed while submitting his nomination papers as the RJD candidate from Raghopur.

Tejaswi, in his affidavit, had disclosed that he is just Class IX pass (from DPS, RK Puram, New Delhi) and discontinued his studies in 2006.

His father Lalu Prasad was then Railway Minister in UPA-I and Tejaswi, a budding cricketer then, had a brief stint with Delhi Daredevils.

However, Paswan’s jibe at Lalu’s son evoked a sharp reaction from Tejaswi. The heir apparent in RJD questioned Paswan about his wife’s status. “Can Paswan tell which wife’s name he has mentioned in his affidavit?” Tejaswi questioned.

Actually, Paswan’s first wife stays in Khagaria. He has two daughters from her– one married to Mrinal and the other Anil Kumar Sadhu, who recently revolted against his father-in-law after being denied LJP ticket for Assembly poll.
