Check foam in Bellandur lake: CM to Palike

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday directed BBMP Commissioner Kumar Naik to take the required steps to curb toxic foam in Bellandur lake.

Following complaints by the public on social media, the chief minister asked Naik to visit the spot and attend to the problem. He also told the commissioner to submit an action-taken report.

A press release from chief minister’s office on Thursday said that a high-level meeting will be convened with the government officials to discuss long-term solutions and plans to solve the Bellandur foam issue. The foam has increased following downpour in the City leading to a furore among the residents.
