Last Updated 03 March 2016, 17:16 IST

Access Asset Managers (Access) has acquired a controlling stake in Teleysia Networks, a telecom services provider, through Access India Fund and other co-investing entities managed by Access for an undisclosed sum.

The transaction is a management buyout transaction, and existing CEO Chirag Jani will continue to lead the business post the transaction. This is Access’ first control transaction. Earlier, it has invested in minority stakes in growth transactions, the fund said.

Teleysia is one of India’s leading providers of services such as network planning, optimisation and managed services to telecom operators and OEM companies. It counts Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung, Huawei and ZTE, as well as operators such as Vodafone, Airtel, Idea and Reliance as its clients.
