MA design for exhibition course

University of Lincoln’s MA Design for Exhibition & Museums programme, which is taught at the School of Architecture & Design, is a innovative programme that helps students develop as interdisciplinary, creative designers in a direction that aligns with ones’ interests and career aspirations. The course comprises of projects tailored to meet individual interests.

Students can undertake projects through a practice-led approach in areas of exhibition design including trade shows, museums, international expositions, cultural events, retail and leisure environments, theatre, television and film stage sets, heritage sites and visitor centres. The course duration is one year (full time) and students are required to have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum grade of 60 per cent with an aptitude for design. Agri-business management
XLRI-Xavier School of Management announces admission to certificate programme in agri-business management. Constituted in collaboration with iKisan — an agri portal promoted by the Nagarjuna Group, the programme supplements agriculture sector knowledge with skills to enhance business effectiveness. The six-month, online, self-learning programme is designed for working professionals in agri-business sector and fresh graduates wanting to join this industry. This course aims to help the interested people prepare for an exciting sales and marketing career within the dynamic and evolving agri-business sector.

The programme offers one week induction at XLRI campus, Jamshedpur; 10 courses covering management & technical skills that requires about 60 hours of effort from the students on each course; and an independent project, wherein a student works on an agri-business sector topic. Taiwan ICDF scholarship
The scholarship provides an opportunity to study bachelor’s, master’s and PhD degrees at Taiwanese universities. It covers a wide range of professional subjects, such as science and engineering, agriculture, public health and medicine, business administration, and humanities and social sciences. Korean government scholarships
Korean government is providing scholarships to Indian students to study at a Korean university or institution tenable from September 1 for studying master’s or doctoral degree in natural science, technology, engineering, liberal arts and social science courses. Students with bachelor’s or master’s degree can apply for master’s degree or doctoral degree, respectively. Applicants must be under 40 years of age. Mechatronic and robotic engineering course
The University of Sheffield is inviting applications for mechatronic and robotic engineering (BEng) course, which will be taught in the new 85-million-pound state-of-the-art engineering building, The course will help students to learn how to design, analyse and test transforming robots, autonomous vehicles and other complex electro-mechanical systems. It will also show students how to control robotic systems using modern microprocessor technology. Students can also explore advanced concepts, including manufacturing systems, noise and vibration control, spacecraft systems and robot technology.

In the first year, students will take the global engineering challenge. This involves working with other engineering students on a one-week project to tackle a real-world problem. The challenge is designed to develop their skills and enhance their career prospects. At the end of the second year, students may choose to transfer to the four-year MEng course.

Duration of the course is three years and applicants should have 80 percent in XII standard. International students need overall IELTS grade of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component, or an equivalent English language qualification. The university also offers a guaranteed £2,000 scholarship per year of study and five merit undergraduate scholarships to Indian students. These scholarships are worth 50 per cent of the annual undergraduate tuition fee per year. Deadline is June 30, 2016.
