Man arrested for misbehaving with woman official

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) police have arrested the proprietor of a realty firm for misbehaving with government official in the Revenue department on March 26.

Yusuf Shariff alias D Babu (In pic) was arrested after a complaint was lodged by Revenue department officials. After his arrest, it came to light that he was a history-sheeter.  

The incident occurred on March 26 at around 1 pm, when Yusuf went to the Revenue department office in the MS Building. He barged into Principal Secretary V Basavaraj’s office and started recording a video on his mobile phone. Mahalakshmi, a secretary, who noticed this, asked him to stop recording and leave the place but Yusuf ‘pushed and abused’ her.

Yusuf fled the spot before the police could arrive. A complaint was registered with the Vidhana Soudha police and the case was transferred to the CCB, added the police. He was traced and arrested by the CCB. It came to light that he used to frequent various government offices and create a ruckus. He was wanted in various police stations in the City, Kolar Gold Fields and Anekal. In 2015, a history-sheet was opened against him in Halasuru Gate police station, mentioned the police.
