Members seek Lokayukta probe

Addressing  reporters here on Saturday, he said that the Town Municipality Chairman should release a white paper regarding the expenses incurred for all development works. A total of Rs 23 lakh has been spent to fill diesel for Town Municipality’s vehicles.

Though street lights were not installed properly, as per record, Municipality has spent lakhs of rupees for the purpose, he pointed out. Another Member B M Sandeep said that the Town Municipality Chairman had presented a surplus budget of 94.41 crore showing Rs 65 lakh as the balance. “They cheated people through a budget of erroneous figures,” he charged.
